Commissioning a Mural
Commissioning a Mural should be an easy and friendly experience. As I would like to give the best service I can, I have listed below the procedures I like to follow to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion for both parties.
- Firstly discuss with you the client, ideas, approximate costs or what could be achieved if the client has a specific budget. Costs can be based on the area of the proposed site or on an agreed daily/weekly rate for larger projects. A visit to the proposed mural site is essential, to take measurements, check wall surface etc.
- I then work up some general concept sketches to give client design options and to ensure ideas meet with the client’s expectations.
- Prepare detailed design(s) according to clients brief. These will be finished, to scale and in colour. At this stage I will submit to the client a definite cost to undertake the project.
- Once the design has been approved the work will be undertaken as agreed. [For larger projects, mutually acceptable staged payments will be negotiated before the project progresses].
I hope that this procedure is clear and helpful. If there is anything that you do not fully understand, please do not be afraid to ask
